CMA Theater – COVID-19 policy
For the safety of our guests and staff, the CMA Theater is requiring proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the show date to attend ticketed events, beginning Oct. 1.
Pending public health guidance and the state of the pandemic, the venue may amend this policy. We appreciate your understanding of these current safety protocols and your commitment to making our theater events safe and enjoyable experiences for all.
What types of proof will be accepted?
- Vaccination card - Attendees need to present a COVID-19 vaccination card or a digital photo of it. Attendees must be fully vaccinated (14 days after your final dose). Photo ID must be presented along with your vaccination proof.
- Negative COVID-19 test results - Printed or digital copy of a negative COVID-19 test result administered by a medical professional or testing site within 72 hours of the date of the show you are attending. Photo ID must presented along with your test results.
If this policy doesn’t suit me, can I get a refund?
If you are unable or unwilling to provide the requested documentation, a refund is available. The period for refund requests will begin Tuesday, Aug. 31, and end this Friday, Sept. 3. To arrange a refund, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 615-760-6556.
What types of COVID-19 test results will be accepted?
A PCR, molecular or antigen COVID-19 test result will be accepted. Please be sure to bring printed or digital proof of your negative test result, with the date and time it was administered included. Tests must be performed by a medical professional or testing site. To find a testing site near you click here.
What if I test positive for COVID-19 shortly before the event?
Refunds will be available for anyone who submits confirmation of a positive test result 72 hours ahead of the show. Results and refund requests can be emailed to email@example.com or call 615-760-6556 for assistance.
Are any medical or religious vaccine exemptions accepted?
Yes. However, for the safety of all, a negative test will still be required to attend the show.
Do I need to wear a mask at the event?
Masks are strongly encouraged, but not required. The CDC currently recommends masking in public indoor spaces in areas with high transmission rates regardless of vaccination status. Masks will be available on site.
What about children under 12?
As the vaccine has not been approved for use on children under age 12, a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event will be required.
Will our staff at the event follow the same policy?
Yes. We’re all in this together.
What if a visiting artist requires additional safety protocols for their specific show?
We will accommodate visiting artists’ requests for increased safety protocols, and we are committed to communicating appropriately to ticketholders in advance.

Where is the CMA Theater Located?
The CMA Theater is inside of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, located at 222 5th Ave. S. Nashville, TN 37203. Please enter from our 5th Avenue entrance.
How do I get my tickets?
To avoid box office lines, we recommend selecting the "print at home" option during check-out. Your tickets will be emailed directly to you. You can also select the "will call" option and pick your tickets up at the box office. All sales are final and non-refundable. See printed ticket for full terms and conditions.
Where is the box office located, and when is it open?
The CMA Theater box office is located in the Museum's Jerry & Ernie Williams Grand Lobby located on 5th Avenue South. The box office will open approximately 2 hours before show time, and remain open until 30 minutes after the show has begun.
Where should I park?
There are several paid lots located around the Museum. The Music City Center and the Hilton Hotel are both across the street from the Museum and offer paid parking. Visit ParkItDowntown.com for additional options.
How do I arrange for ADA seating?
Please call 615-760-6556 and a reservations specialist will be happy to assist you with booking accessible seats, reserving assisted listening devices or wheelchairs, or answering any other questions you may have.
Can I take pictures?
Most events allow photography without flash. Videography is never allowed during a performance. Photography restrictions may vary depending on the event.
Are guns or service animals allowed inside the theater?
No weapons are allowed. Service animals are welcome with the proper permit.
